Central Coast Family Support Services Inc. is currently seeking qualified, self-motivated individuals in a number of roles to join our organisation. Candidates must demonstrate experience working collaboratively with children and families in their communities to identify strengths, mitigate risk factors, increase capacity for resilience and promote positive relationships.

Current available positions:

  • Casework Practice Manager – 35 hours week
  • Administration Manager – 33 hours week
  • Early Intervention Child and Family Case Worker – 28 hours per week

 

The Casework Practice Manager is responsible for providing high-level specialist support and leadership within casework team, while ensuring there is a consistency in systems and processes that comply with organisational policy and procedures.

We are looking for a motivated leader who will actively promote professional family work practice in their team and will develop and lead staff to achieve quality outcomes with children, young people and families. We are looking for a passionate and dynamic human with an ability to communicate effectively to further develop strong child centred practice and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders.

You will have proven experience in supervising and supporting a small team, managing and prioritising workloads, and have the ability to lead culturally competent and diverse practice. CCFSS is seeking an Administration Manager with a passion for administration, attention to detail, and dedication to maintaining efficient office management.  The Administration Manager works independently and has managerial authority over a variety of functions within the organisation.  The position has a high level of responsibility in making decisions, as well as providing expert advice across multiple areas of operations. Developing, reviewing and improving business administrative systems, policies and procedures is are key elements of this position. 

This position oversees the smooth operations of the CCFSS office, and supports staff and volunteers in a responsive and efficient manner. This diverse, hands-on role requires professionalism, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. Your exceptional technology skills will be leveraged to innovate and enhance CCFSS operations.  You will possess excellent communication skills – both verbal and written, with experience in developing and delivering effective stakeholder communication strategies.  You will have the skill and confidence to take the lead in improving processes, streamlining workflows, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organisation.

 

Early intervention family case work provides case management services with families to build on strengths and enhance the well being of all family members.

Working collaboratively with CCFSS team members, this work uses one-on-one interventions with families through home visiting and community work in achieving positive outcomes. Suitable applicants will possess skills and understanding of the issues related to families, children and young people in the areas of family functioning, parent/child relationships, parenting skill development, child development and the effects of trauma. Family case work involves the provision of timely advice, information and referral across a variety of areas of focus in addition to promoting the development of competencies and capabilities that enable families to build resilience, access resources and supports that enable all families the choice to meet their social, cultural and economic needs. 

Course work facilitation involves the delivery of evidence based and informal group work programs with a focus on parenting education and skill building. Some informal peer support group work facilitation is also a function of this role. 

Family caseworkers conduct family risk and protective assessments to determine issues impacting upon the functioning of the family and work through and early intervention framework to establish plans and set family centered goals.
