WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a compassionate, well organised advocate and collaborator who understands the social issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. 

A deep knowledge of domestic and family violence, crisis intervention, trauma informed practice, and housing sector systems.

Sound understanding of risk assessment and safety planning for families including children and young people.

 WHAT YOU WILL NEED
The successful applicant will:

  • Have an unencumbered current Driver’s License
  • Have a valid Working with Children’s Check (essential to the commencement of employment)
  • Safe Environments for Children and Young People – Through Their Eyes Certificate
  • Qualifications in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services, Human Services, Counselling and/or extensive experience commensurate with the position
  • Knowledge of, and experience in areas of family violence, mental health, substance abuse, child protection

Up to 30 June 2023 with possible extension.
