Clinical Coordinator Family Violence Counselling Child and Adult – Cranbourne Relationships Australia Victoria

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced family violence counsellor to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV).  

RAV is a secular, community-based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations who have been providing services to the Victorian community for over 70 years.  Our vision is for “positive, respectful, safe and fulfilling relationships for all Australians”.  RAV provides services from centres across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. 

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, your responsibilities include operationalising and overseeing the “Child and Adult Person Experiencing Family Violence Counselling Program” which provides trauma-informed and culturally appropriate short-term interventions and referral for adults and children. 

This involves provision of clinical supervision, stakeholder engagement, coordination of client service delivery, tracking, monitoring and reporting and general coordination responsibilities.

This role is located at Cranbourne and will include travel to other RAV sites including regional areas. This is a permanent, part-time position working four (4) days per week.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, social science or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating therapeutic work with individuals, children and families with family violence and mental health presentations, including risk assessment, safety planning, intervention in a similar setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively intervene, prioritise and manage crisis situations.
  • Own vehicle and current Victorian driver’s licence.
  • Understanding of MARAM Framework, Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme, and Child Information Sharing Scheme would be deemed advantageous.
