About headspace Emerald:

headspace is an innovative youth service founded in 2006 providing services to over 154 communities throughout Australia. They deliver access to primary and mental health, alcohol and drug services, social welfare and vocational services for young people. The service is based on early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention delivered by primary care and specialist providers working together within an accessible and integrated service framework.

About your new role:

The Coordinator will provide oversight to the coordination and delivery of clinical services, be responsible for providing clinical supervision and the development, coordination, and governance of the team’s clinical practice.

In this role you will work collaboratively with all clinicians located at headspace Emerald and will report to the Manager – Children, Youth and Families. This position will also form and maintain working relationships with key agencies in the community to establish integrated care pathways for young people. This is a full-time position, which will be situated in the recently established facility in Emerald.  Although travel in the region is seldomly required, a company car is provided for business use so a current driver’s license is required. Flexibility to maintain a presence during the 2 evenings per week when the centre extends its hours until 7pm is required. Some flexible options such as hybrid or part-time are negotiable subject to approval. 

This role has a fixed term until June 2024. 

 What qualifications do I need?

  • As Anglicare Central Queensland is a Child Safe Organisation, preferred applicants will be required to hold a Blue Card & Yellow card prior to commencement.
  • Approved tertiary level qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology (4+2 pathway or 5+1 pathway), mental health nursing, and/or occupational therapy.
  • Registration or membership with appropriate registration authority or professional body (APHRA or AASW).
  • Full Covid-19 vaccination.
  • An open QLD Driver’s license.
