About the role
As the Counsellor working within the detox centre, you will be responsible for providing high-quality counselling & case management services to clients presenting with a range of mental health issues and substance abuse issues.
This could be done via evidence based psychosocial interventions on both a group and one-to-one basis and also through the facilitation of community therapeutic groups and educational groups.
Key selection criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling
- Registration with relevant membership body (AASW, AHPRA, ACA/PACFA)
- Demonstrated postgraduate experience working in a Counselling capacity – preferably within mental health/AOD
- Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
