About the service:
headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

Role Overview:
- Coordinate student placements (Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Work) for the headspace service and maintain relationships with relevant universities
- Support the onboarding, induction and field supervision of students
- Engage in other stakeholder engagement activities that assist in successful delivery of student placements at the service
- Where appropriate, provide task supervision, mentorship and support to the headspace clinicians
- Provide clinical supervision to students and clinicians across the headspace by Stride centres, where an appropriate discipline match; if not providing direct clinical supervision to these staff, support the development of the capacity and capability of headspace by Stride staff in providing clinical supervision, as required.
- Participate in Clinical Educator Community of Practice
- Participate in research and evaluation activities (e.g. focus groups); alongside supporting data compliance through hAPI completion.
- Support and lead aspects of the headspace by Stride Learning and Development program; specifically, this role will lead the development and facilitation of internal clinical education and training for headspace by Stride staff, as well as support the implementation of Stride’s Reflective Practice Framework.
- This role is based across Miranda and Hurstville headspace Centres, additionally it will be expected that the Clinical Educators work collaboratively and support the integration of headspace broader workforce development plan.
Requirements:
- Must have one of the following: AHPRA registration as a General, Educational or Clinical Psychologist OR Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience post qualification and be eligible to provide clinical supervision
- Demonstrated experience and theoretical knowledge in providing education and mentoring to students and staff in a healthcare setting/ workplace, and awareness of the principles of adult learning.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in providing clinical/ reflective practice supervision and have completed relevant training in provision of Clinical Supervision.
- Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with, establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people, for example, young people, health professionals, educators, academic researchers, service providers, etc.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and manage communications and information with other staff.
- You will be expected to evidence and uphold the organisations values in your everyday actions as well as adhering to the Code of Conduct to consistently behave in an honest, ethical and professional way. You will treat people fairly and equitably being transparent in dealing with them. You will listen when your ideas are challenged, provide accurate advice to colleagues, take responsibility for one’s own actions and decisions and learn from mistakes. You will seek advice from your supervisor whenever uncertain.

- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
