Are you an experienced Generalist Counsellor looking to take the next step into a leadership position?
About the Role
You will enjoy working as a leader in an integral part of the Ballarat Community Health (BCH) Counselling Team coordinating and supporting the team in delivering individual counselling, couple, children’s counselling, family counselling, family violence counselling and group work along with the provision of EAP, options and health promotion education in the community and workplaces.
The role will carry a case load and undertake operational tasks such as convening team meetings and ensuring all team members have access to appropriate clinical supervision and are working within their scope of practice and have access to professional development.
We are seeking to expand access to counselling services and seek an innovative practitioner to help us build therapeutic models of care that can be sustainable into the future.
What you will need:
- A post graduate degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Psychology or Counselling or Mental Health
- Experience in senior and/or team leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in counselling with the knowledge of a range of theoretical frameworks in working with individuals, couples, families and groups
- Registration with but not limited to PACFA, AASW or AAFT
- High level team building skills
- Knowledge of the welfare and health networks in the Ballarat region
