Clinical Lead Uniting NSW & ACT

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Opportunity

The Clinical Lead is responsible for leading a team of Allied Health and Clinical staff, and will work collaboratively with clients, their families and the broader Home and Community Care team to embed best practice in the delivery of clinical services and education in the Neighbourhood Model of Care. This will involve leading and facilitating the implementation of clinical policies and practices throughout our services in the ACT area.

This is a full-time contract role for a year, based at our Deakin ACT office. There is an opportunity for the role to convert to permanent full-time, in the field of expertise of the successful candidate. 

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in a Nursing or Allied Health
  • Current Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA) or other relevant regulatory authority
  • Well-developed understanding of contemporary Aged Care clinical practice and community-based service delivery
  • Experience in the Aged Care and/or the Health environment
  • Significant experience in mentoring and providing advice to team and employees
  • Confident in navigating and nurturing teams through ambiguity and change
  • Passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for vulnerable, at risk and disadvantaged members of the community
  • Proficient in using multiple computer applications, as well as the willingness to learn new systems/programs
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
