About the role
- You will be leading a team in the clinical management of mental health, providing education and supervision to staff in the development of careers in a high-quality health environment.
- You will work within a multidisciplinary team and be supported by the Nurse Manager, Service Manager & Clinical Care Coordinator, clinical supervision is available and encouraged.
Where you’ll be working
- The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Grade 2 provides expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy services within the area of nursing specialty across service groups, target populations, and healthcare professionals within the Hunter New England Local Health District
- The Manning Community Mental Health Team provides mental health services to Bulahdelah, Gloucester, Forster, and Taree, located on the Lower Mid-North Coast. The dynamic, multidisciplinary team is supported by the Clinical Care Coordinator with clinical supervision available and encouraged to support your professional development and career growth.
About you
- The successful candidate will have:
- Comprehensive clinical experience and knowledge in relation to mental illness, assessment, and care planning including working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007
- Contemporary Principles and Practices in mental health care
- Ability to assess risk, perform mental state examinations and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills and passion for building therapeutic relationships with consumers will be the key to your success in this position.
