The Role:
- Provide an identified first point of contact with the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team (PIMH) team for receipt of enquiries regarding management advice or referral to the team
- Review and triage referrals received and prioritise allocation of assessment appointments according to patient need
- Coordinate the care of women referred for assessment and treatment in collaboration with the Perinatal Psychiatrist and the PIMH.
- Provide case management for women with complex mental health and psychosocial problems as part of their antenatal care and/or coordinate discharge planning and follow up for women following the birth of their baby.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Perinatal & Infant Mental Health sits within the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), which is currently undergoing an exciting period of reform which includes a large expansion of the overall service. Details of Appointment:
Fixed Term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 27 September 2024.

Salary:
$104,735 – $111,334 per annum + 11% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $750 per annum
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working in an Adult or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
- Experience working within a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Further education in perinatal or infant mental health, or counselling
- Expertise in design and conduct of research
