Peel CAMHS is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Psychologist to join the dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
About the job:
As the Senior Clinical Psychologist within the team, you will be expected to provide clinical leadership to the wider Northern CAMHS team. You will be required to provide high-level assessment, intervention, and care coordination of services for children and young people experiencing mental health concerns and their families, carers, and guardians.
- Part of the role will involve providing education to staff and building partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to support staff professional development.
- The role will also involve developing partnerships with key stakeholders to provide education and consultation to community providers.
- The successful applicant will have experience working in a mental health setting with the ability to work with young persons and their families. Your high level of communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role.
- Your ability to provide leadership and mentoring, to assist with supporting professional development of CAMHS staff will be beneficial to this your success in this role.
- The successful applicant will be supported by their Line Manager, CAMHS Leadership, MH Head of Discipline for Psychology, and Seniors/Leaders in Psychology across the District.

- Peel Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (Community based) is a small, multidisciplinary team that covers the Peel Sector for HNELHD.
- This position is based within the team situated at Tamworth Hospital. Peel CAMHS works closely alongside other CAMHS clinicians located in Armidale, Glen Innes, Narrabri, Moree and Inverell covering the Northern Sectors of HNELHD.

Requirements:
- Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
- Generally registered as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia with area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology, with not less than 12 months full-time equivalent on Year 5 of the Clinical Psychology pay scale.
