Clinical Psychologist / Mental Health Social Worker Montefiore

Montefiore is looking to appoint a Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker to join our growing and well-resourced Allied Health Department. The key to success in this position will be your demonstrated experience working clinically with older adults, including those living with dementia.

The primary objectives will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Providing a clinical and or mental health assessment service to consumers in accordance with evidence-based practice
  • Therapy provision to maximise consumer’s immediate wellbeing
  • Providing mental health training to staff
  • Development of key policies and procedures that positively impact mental health of consumers
  • Supporting consumers, staff, and families with behaviour management

Essential Criteria:

  • Masters in Clinical Psychology along with AHPRA registration OR a Degree in Social Work in addition to post grad mental health training 
  • Previous experience working with older adults on a range of clinical issues
  • Previous experience working with adults living with dementia and mild cognitive impairment
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working within an inter-disciplinary team
  • Good time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as required
