About the role

An exciting opportunity is currently available at our new sites in the La Trobe Valley (TBC).  The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver a range of services to adults and older adults experiencing emotional distress, crises, mental ill health and/or addiction, and to their families, support people and carers through a “no wrong door” approach.

As a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Social Worker, the Clinical Services Manager will:

  • Provide clinical oversight for and positive leadership of the services, to ensure all staff within the team work together to achieve excellence in service delivery, within the available resources.
  • Facilitate a strong clinical governance culture within the team, where each practitioner takes responsibility for their own decision making and quality improvement activities, whilst supporting the clinical governance framework of Neami. Including monitoring and evaluation to ensure Neami’s internal audits and external accreditation requirements are met.
  • Promote Neami’s culture of practice, which is underpinned by the principles of Collaborative Recovery. Ensure that a consumer-centred approach is used in the provision of intake, assessment and referral services.
  • Provide services that are consistent with Neami’s Clinical Governance Framework.

What you must have to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Formal tertiary qualification in as a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Social Worker essential. Post Graduate qualifications in Mental Health desirable.
  • Current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) essential, or an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers. 
  • Maintenance of registration standards and continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Proven leadership experience managing clinical teams within the area of mental health service delivery.
  • Experience working in cross cultural settings, especially with first nations people.
  • Experience working within a recovery-oriented service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A valid Working with Children Check and valid police check.
  • A current drivers licence and access to personal vehicle
