Are you passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people through supporting a meaningful student placement program within headspace?
Situated at headspace Tweed Heads, this new position will lead the development and implementation of a thriving student placement program and calendar within our headspace centre framework.
Student placements ensure that we support emerging clinicians in the field of youth mental health at the same time as expanding our service offer to young people who access our service.

The Clinical Supervisor (Mental Health Student Placements) will
- establish and maintain relationships with universities
- onboard, induct and provide clinical and field supervision to students on placement
- provide clinical supervision (with appropriate discipline match) to participants
- participate in community of practices, research, evaluation activities and advisory groups
- continuously improving projects and data compliance with the headspace Minimum Data Set (MDS)
- ensure that all mandatory reporting requirements are met in line with legislative and policy requirements.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience and understanding of evidence-based interventions for young people’s mental wellbeing.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be supported by the Team Leader, Service Delivery and Team Leader/Clinical Lead and in conjunction with existing private practitioners and headspace centre staff.

headspace Tweed Heads (under the direction of the Social Futures) is an innovative youth service, delivering primary and mental health, alcohol and drug services, social welfare and vocational services to young people aged 12-25 years. The mandate of headspace Tweed Heads is to provide early intervention and prevention services by responding with evidence-based interventions for young people in the local community.
