In-Home Family Support program provides much needed intervention and supports for parents, carers, children and young people in their home and community. We aim to provide the support these families need to thrive and strengthen their relationships with not only themselves, but also their culture and community, build their capacity and resilience and improve their safety and wellbeing.
The multi-disciplinary team includes Clinicians, Outreach Family Support Practitioners, Care Practitioners, Coordinator, Program Manager and General Manager.
About the role
The Clinician or Family Intervention Worker role is responsible for providing outreach clinical intervention services for children, young people, families and carers involved in the statutory child protection system. This includes the development and review of clinical plans (therapeutic intervention plans, positive behaviour support plans), clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions, critical incident management, stakeholder engagement, coaching and training for carers/parents on child-specific needs, and facilitating individual and group/family work. The position is required to work directly with children, young people, parents and carers in their own home environment.
Remuneration – $74,000 to $88,000 per annum (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) with the option of salary packaging.
The position can be based at either Eagle Farm or Rocklea.

Skills and experience
• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Teaching, Nursing or other relevant human services degree.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in working with children and families, particularly in providing intervention with families with complex needs and support around the management of children with challenging behaviours.
• Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
• Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence.
• Possess a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
