About the Role:
The Matt Clinician has responsibility for providing clinical triage, assessment and clinical services in collaboration with general practice and other mental health providers. In order to enhance the health and mental health outcomes of people aged 12-25 years, who are referred to the Early Psychosis Program service where there is a possibility the individual is at risk of or experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast paced environment
- Clinical experience of the assessment and effective management of younger people experiencing an acute psychosis and crisis service
- Experience of working in an acute mental health setting
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Drivers Licence
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases to prove ability to use relevant information technology, electronic recording systems and data management tools
- Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology, clinical psychology, mental health nursing, and occupational therapy
- Eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA
