JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join their Richmond-based service. As a Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing accessible, mental health services and support in the community. Your role involves building trust with guests and their families, facilitating community connections, and ensuring seamless collaboration with local services. By implementing strength-based, recovery-oriented models of service, you will empower individuals facing mental health challenges. It is a full-time permanent role with a focus on adult mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced social work assessments and interventions to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Offer counselling, emotional support, and practical assistance to individuals and families facing medical challenges.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of social work policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior social work staff as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of social work interventions.
  • Providing advocacy and community engagement services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work.
  • Current registration with the appropriate professional body.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to build a rapport with children and young people and provide strength-based, recovery-oriented models of service.
