Nabenet is currently recruiting for an experienced registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Rehab Counsellor to complete Common Law assessments for metropolitan Melbourne.  This role can be offered in full-time, part-time, or casual/contractor capacity.
You would be required to provide a range of high-quality medico-legal assessments – Common Law assessments.  In conducting these services communication will occur with claimants, lawyers, and other relevant parties.

About the role

  • Common-Law services (inquiries, relationship management, case management)
  • Common-Law assessments involve either Vocational Assessment, Labour Market Analysis (LMA), or Suitable Duties Reports (SDR) to be developed. 
  • ‘Real world’ vacancies are identified by contacting employers directly to query the duties and functional requirements of the role, in addition to completing site visits 
  • Utilise your problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform common law assessments 
  • Use your communication skills to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including insurance companies, medical practitioners, employers, and employee
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, driven by the company values of quality, customer service, outcomes, and teamwork

To be successful

  • You must have a tertiary qualification and current registration with the AHPRA in either Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Rehabilitation Counselling.  A minimum of three years of OR experience at a provider or insurer would be an advantage.
  • Have excellent time management skills.
  • Be a confident communicator and are comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Have excellent writing skills and have experience writing reports.
  • Have experience in completing assessments and making recommendations.
  • Having knowledge and understanding of Common Law Assessment writing would be highly desirable.
