The Role: Common Law Vocational Assessment Consultant
 
As an experienced registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Rehab Counsellor, your mission will involve conducting Common Law assessments for metropolitan Melbourne. We understand the need for flexibility, and this role can be offered on a part-time, or casual/contractor basis to accommodate your work-life balance.

🎯 Real-World Impact: Your medico-legal assessments will make a difference! You’ll interact with claimants, lawyers, and other relevant parties, utilising your problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform common law assessments.
 
🏢 Diverse Duties: Engage in Common-Law services like Vocational Assessment, Labour Market Analysis (LMA), and Suitable Duties Reports (SDR). Take charge of identifying ‘real world’ vacancies, performing site visits, and collaborating with employers to understand role requirements.

Your excellent communication skills will be put to use, as you liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including insurance companies, medical practitioners, employers, and employees.

What We Look For:
 
🎓 Qualifications: A tertiary qualification and current AHPRA registration in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or ASORC registration for Rehabilitation Counselling.
 
⏰ Time Management: Excellent time management skills to keep things running smoothly.
 
💬 Communication Wizardry: Confidence in engaging with diverse stakeholders and fostering strong relationships.
 
✍️ Report Writing Skills: Your excellent writing skills and experience in preparing reports will come in handy.
 
🔍 Experience Matters: Ideal candidates are those with 5 years+ Occupational Rehabilitation experience. We welcome professionals seeking to transition their extensive Occupational Rehabilitation experience into conducting medico-legal assessments.
