We provide essential care and services across a range of sectors, including NDIS and child safety, with a focus on delivering high-quality, client-centred support. Our team is passionate about making a real difference, and we’re looking for a Community Engagement Officer to help us connect with local communities, raise awareness, and expand our reach.

Overview:
As our Community Engagement Officer, you will be key to building and maintaining strong relationships with community groups, stakeholders, and clients. Your work will help increase awareness of our services, expand our client base, and foster partnerships that align with our mission. You will play a critical role in making our organisation a trusted name in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Outreach & Events:

  • Plan, promote, and execute community events to raise awareness of our organisation’s services.
  • Represent the organisation at community forums, workshops, and other local events, building meaningful relationships with influencers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure successful event delivery, positive feedback, and increased visibility in the community.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, healthcare providers, and other local organisations to create new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Act as an advocate for our organisation, ensuring stakeholders understand and support our mission, services, and values.
  • Measure success through positive feedback, established partnerships, and increased referrals.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Create and distribute promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content, to effectively communicate our services to different audience segments.
  • Manage the organisation’s social media presence, ensuring regular updates and content that align with our strategic goals and values.
  • Track engagement metrics and use insights to enhance our visibility and client engagement.

Client Engagement & Outreach Strategies:

  • Develop targeted outreach campaigns to attract new clients, particularly in the NDIS and child safety sectors.
  • Collect client feedback through surveys and focus groups to identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Track and report on outreach efforts and client engagement to ensure measurable growth in service utilisation.

Data Collection & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of community engagement activities and partnerships, analysing data to identify trends and inform strategic planning.
  • Provide regular updates to management, offering insights and proposing solutions to overcome challenges.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events and outreach initiatives.
  • Proficiency in social media management and marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of NDIS, child safety, or disability services (desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Current Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s licence.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Increased client engagement and growth in community participation.
  • Strong community presence and recognition within local networks.
  • Productive partnerships with stakeholders that expand service reach.
  • Clear, engaging, and effective promotional campaigns that lead to increased awareness and client inquiries.
  • Timely, data-driven reports that inform decision-making and continuous service improvement.

How to Apply:
If you’re passionate about making a difference and have a track record in community engagement, we’d love to hear from you! We know that experience comes in many forms. If your background doesn’t check every box, but you have a passion for this role and are ready to learn, we encourage you to apply.
