Supporting Your Life provides qualified mental health workers for people engaged with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The Community Liaison position facilitates positive experiences for participants, team members, and external stakeholders.
This role will be working alongside our General Manager and Rostering Officers. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team environment and enjoys learning and developing new skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing over-the-phone customer service to Participants, Support Workers, and External Stakeholders.
- Assisting and directing Rostering Officers
- Understanding each Stakeholders preferences and challenges.
- Assessing risk (training provided)
- Assisting in welcoming new team members
- Ad hoc duties
EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Alcohol and Drugs or equivalent industry experience.
- Valid Driver’s License
- NDIS Worker orientation module certificate
- Pass a National Criminal History Check
EXPERIENCE
- Experience providing mental health support work or a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised as well as an effective team player with a positive “can-do” attitude
- Experience in handling conflict resolution and negotiation
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on small projects and meet deadlines
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrated ability of exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain rapport with participants and their families while providing conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of software applications, including Microsoft suite
- Demonstrate understanding of professional boundaries
