What You Will Be Doing
The Community Mental Health Engagement Worker will help improve outcomes for consumers and their families/carers by helping to navigate mental health services, providing information to enable improved access to other services and freeing up clinicians to focus on their therapeutic work.

Peninsula Health Mental Health Service is committed to the principles of Recovery- Orientated Practice. We actively support and encourage consumer and carer participation in all aspects of planning and delivery of mental health services. Our passionate Adult Community Mental Health Team provide short term interventions for consumers experiencing an acute phase of mental illness as well as short-medium term treatment, case management and care interventions for people with prolonged mental illness.
This is a new role in Peninsula Health and an exciting pathway into mental health for newly registered health practitioners. The position is open to graduates of Occupational Therapy, Social Work, RN or EEN. With flexibility to work in Mornington (Rosebud) and/or Frankston Community Mental Health Services. What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Recent graduate from a relevant health degree and relevant registration (Nursing, Occupational Therapists & Social Workers considered)
• Strong interest in developing a career in Mental Health
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of Recovery Orientated practice in Mental Health Care
• Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards
