The Role:
McArthur are seeking experienced Mental Health Support Workers to join our casual staffing team.
We are partnered with leading Government departments and NFP Community Mental Health organisations who provide a range of treatment, rehabilitation and supported independent living programs to clients with complex mental health diagnoses.
The duties of the role includes, but is not limited to:
- Working as part of a team and autonomously across a range of programs and sites, which include secure forensic environments as well as community based residential settings
- Implementing various treatment strategies and facilitating meaningful engagement in activities to support improvement of quality of life and opportunities for community involvement
- Displaying strong risk awareness and working within strict safety management plans to appropriately manage serious behaviours of concern
- Liaising and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals and mental health providers to support the stability of clients
The Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or similar
- Minimum 12 months paid sector experience is essential
- Current clear Police Check completed within the last 12 months
- NDIS Worker Screening Check AND Victorian Employee Working With Children Check
- Victorian Drivers Licence
