As the Contact Support Worker you will promote the wellbeing of child/ren during either a supervised visit or changeover to a parent/guardian by supervising interactions and behaviours to ensure the child/ren feel safe and comfortable. Supervising the visit/change over, you will write reports for the family court. 

This opportunity is casual, only working weekends.

What you will bring

You are a passionate and talented individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients. 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant field, be working towards or a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field
  • Have knowledge of the impact on children and families of issues such as Family Separation, Family and domestic violence, Mental Health, drug and Alcohol misuse and Trauma.
  • Have a strong focus on supporting children and adults to enhance relationship development as well as identifying and responding to safety and risk issues.
  • Have a commitment to child-focused and child-inclusive practice

The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Working with Children Check and WA Drivers Licence.

Remuneration

  • Base rate of $37.34 per hour + weekend penalties or casual loadings + 11% superannuation
