Your new role
This role is full-time and can be based in any of our Central Queensland, Wide Bay or Sunshine Coast offices.
This role works closely with the Manager in engaging locally with the Hospital and Health Service, local providers, consumers, and carers to identify the needs, understand the gaps, determine priorities, opportunities, and solutions within the area. The role also manages multiple contracts across the broader MHAOD Program including facilitation of ongoing service integration.
This position will have local responsibility for implementing and driving key deliverables of the Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Alcohol and Other Drugs Joint Regional Plan 2020-2025.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate, develop, refine and implement MHAOD programs in line with the national and state strategies, evidence-based research, and other key frameworks
- Support the establishment, implementation, and monitoring through contract management of commissioned services
- Establishment and ongoing facilitation of the integration of the local MHAOD service system including HHS and commissioned providers.
- Support the PHN to build relationships and strengthen networks with all stakeholders including people who use MHAOD service providers and other stakeholders that contribute to the service system
- Proactively engage the perspectives of all stakeholders to ensure services remain responsive to client/target group needs, influence change and initiate service system improvements
- Support reporting requirements by collecting, collating, and communicating relevant data to meet the obligations of the PHN Establish protocols with service providers to formalise partnerships and accountability mechanisms
- Utilise service mapping and gap analysis activities to establish a profile of the capacities and gaps inherent within the MHAOD service delivery system in the area
- Utilise service mapping and gap analysis to inform commissioning and build capacity and capability in the MHAOD service system across the area

About you
The successful candidate will be able to meet the following selection criteria:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in coordinating MHAOD treatment and support services or similar
- Experience working in clinical or non-clinical MHAOD support services
- Experience and/or the capacity to inform a strategic approach to sector development and commissioning
- Understanding of the clinical model and a working knowledge of a recovery-oriented culture
- Demonstrated experience in contract management
- Ability to engage diverse stakeholders including people who use and provide services
- Is proactive, well organised, has excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead a discreet body of work with multiple stakeholders
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and be able to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check
