About the organisation:  

Murray PHN is a part of the national network of Primary Health Networks across Australia. We work closely with the primary health system to identify opportunities to improve health outcomes in our community.  

Murray PHN spans the northern Victoria area from Mildura to Woodend and eastward to Wodonga including Albury NSW. Servicing this area are offices and staff located in Albury (North East), Bendigo (Central Victoria), Mildura (North West) and Shepparton (Goulburn Valley) acknowledging that our region crosses many First Nation lands.  

  

About the role:  

Murray PHN have opportunities for two candidates to join our Mental Health Suicide Prevention team.   

Reporting to the Project Lead – Suicide Prevention you will focus on developing and delivering suicide prevention activities that connect and coordinate community-based suicide prevention efforts. 

Leveraging your demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships, the successful candidates will: 

  • collaborate with key community representatives and health service providers to develop and deliver intervention suicide prevention initiatives that are responsive to individual community needs; and  
  • contribute to and integrate local work activities with a coordinated regional approach in suicide prevention.  

Working flexibly and collaboratively with your team, in addition to your local community portfolio of work, in this role you will contribute to suicide prevention activities, initiatives, and partnerships delivered at a Murray PHN regional level. 

The Coordinator role is best held by someone who thrives both autonomously and within a team.  Whilst you bring suitable qualifications, your experience in community mental health, understanding of suicide prevention work, and community engagement and relationship skills are the keys in being successful in this role.

What we offer:  

  • Full time  
  • Maximum term Contract (up to June 2025)   
  • Salary range – Grade 5 ($95,697 per annum full time rate shown) plus superannuation. 
  • Location options: Shepparton (GV) or Albury (NE) areas 
  • Generous salary packaging provisions available  
  • Flexible workplace options including a balanced work from home and office flexibility arrangements.
