- Managing a team of social workers, psychologist and counsellors
Our Not-for-Profit client is seeking a Counselling Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the counselling programs.
This involves overseeing all aspects of the service delivery of the program and ensuring contractual obligations are met, managing and supporting staff and liaising with various stakeholders. The role includes developing the program along with projects to improve and expand services delivered to the community.
Reporting to the Director, the role has oversight of the Counselling and Therapy Programs. It includes:
- Operational and contract management
- Staff management
- Quality Assurance & risk management
- Professional development & supervision
- Clinical caseload (small)
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated management experience and leadership skills in managing a team of clinicians
- Demonstrated commitment to working within a child safety framework that is client centred and family focused.
- Excellent relationship building skills to maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and good time management skills
- Computer literacy skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and databases
- Have an understanding of EEO, Work Safety and confidentiality
- Ability to travel as required
Essentials
Tertiary Qualifications in:
- Social Work (including membership of Australian Association of Social Workers), or
- Registered with AHPRA as a Psychologist, or
- Degree qualified counsellors with ACA or PACFA membership (level 3 or 4)
Required to hold / undergo:
- a current drivers licence, and
- a Working with Vulnerable People’s Card
- National Police Check
