Counselling Services Manager
CatholicCare Canberra Goulburn are seeking a Counselling and Therapy Services Manager to oversee the day to day management of the counselling programs. Reporting to the Director, the role has oversight of the Counselling and Therapy Programs. It includes:
- Operational and contract management
- Staff management
- Quality Assurance & risk management
- Professional development & supervision
- Clinical caseload (small)

Essentials
Tertiary Qualifications in:
- Social Work (including membership of Australian Association of Social Workers), or
- Registered with AHPRA as a Psychologist, or
- Degree qualified counsellors with ACA or PACFA membership (level 3 or 4)
Ideal person
The ideal person we are seeking has:
- Demonstrated management experience and leadership skills in managing a team of clinicians
- Demonstrated commitment to working within a child safety framework that is client centred and family focused.
- Excellent relationship building skills to maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and good time management skills
- Computer literacy skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and databases
- Have an understanding of EEO, Work Safety and confidentiality
- Ability to travel as required
To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
- a current drivers licence, and
- a Working with Vulnerable People’s Card (if working in the ACT)
- a Working with Children Check (if working in NSW)
You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check.
