About Kamira

Kamira Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Services Inc provides residential treatment options for women, pregnant women, and women with children from across New South Wales who are experiencing problematic alcohol and/or other drug use. We are situated on the NSW Central Coast on Darkinjung Country. In recognition of the trauma caused by colonisation, Aboriginal women are prioritised for treatment and account for more than 50% of admissions.

 

About the Opportunity

Kamira has an opportunity for a methodical Case Manager to join their professional team in Wyong, NSW, for 32 – 38 hours per week.

Reporting to the Clinical Director, you will be primarily responsible for improving client physical and mental health outcomes through the provision of evidence based AOD treatment interventions. You will also be responsible for enhancing relationships and improving social outcomes for clients, their children, and family.

 

Specifically, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Providing assessment, referral, individualised treatment plans, group facilitation, and counselling for clients
  • Developing a trusting and authentic rapport with all clients
  • Ensuring effective communication pathways exist between yourself and all staff
  • Frequently liaising with key referral bodies and stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures, quality improvement activities and collation and reporting of statistics
  • Helping to identify, report and minimise risks
  • Participating in Clinical Team Meetings, quarterly Planning Meetings and Treatment Planning Meetings

 

About You

We’re looking for a new team member who:

  • Has a relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline, along with experience with individual case management
  • Has high level administrative and operational skills, as well as the ability to contribute to organisational objectives in a service delivery environment
  • Has experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as you will be engaging with clients and staff across all levels
  • Will act as a positive role model for others, with the ability to work in a team and follow the organisation’s guidelines
  • Has high level organisational skills and experience in managing competing priorities effectively
