About The Role
New ROADS is a dynamic and supportive team of professionals providing holistic and innovative alcohol and other drug (AOD) and comorbidity services. We provide 1:1 counselling, group work, police drug diversion, case management and residential rehabilitation across our services. We are seeking experienced and motivated staff who are keen to join the team and provide the highest standard of client support. We are seeking a flexible, self-motivated and organised person with well developed skills in providing therapeutic drug and alcohol support located out of Whyalla.
The New ROADS Counsellor Case Manager role incorporates a diverse mix of responsibilities including:
- office and outreach based, therapeutic AOD services for our residential client group, outpatient counselling group and police drug diversion services
- supporting people who are accessing our AOD programs to make long term, healthy changes in their lives
- developing partnerships with the community to create better outcomes for clients and drive referrals into the service
- breaking down the stigma associated with AOD and mental health issues
About You
Ideally you will possess a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or other related field or specific AOD qualifications plus experience. You will have demonstrated professional experience in providing intensive support, counselling and case management, and will have experience in providing a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, including working with internal staff and external stakeholders from other agencies. Additionally, you will have a strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of clients, community groups and agencies.
Vaccination Requirements
COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in a SA Health/health care setting.
About the Remuneration
This role is remunerated at the Uniting Communities General Staff Agreement, Professional Level 3/1 – 4/4 and dependent on previous experience and Qualifications.
