Counsellor/Case Manager – Reconnect Uniting Communities Incorporated

JOB DESCRIPTION

Uniting Communities is seeking a passionate, motivated and autonomous Counsellor/Case Manager to join our Reconnect team. This position is based at our office in Paralowie. To deliver early intervention initiatives to reduce the risk of homelessness and its impact on families and young people primarily through the provision of counselling, family reconciliation and case management

About The Role:

Working young people, family and other services and community supports to provide family reconciliation and early intervention when there is a risk of homelessness. Assisting young people to reengage with work, education and training and improve the coordination of services that assist young people to meet their goals.  You will be developing and regularly reviewing case plans and outcomes in conjunction with young people and families.

Essential criteria includes:

  • Professional experience in the delivery of counselling services
  • Experience working with young people and families, and knowledge of adolescent development
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches relevant to family work such as narrative therapy, family and systems theory and attachment theory
  • Professional understanding of homelessness, youth and family support services in South Australia
  • Maintenance of an unrestricted South Australian Driver’s licence
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or the equivalent

Vaccination Requirements

COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in a SA Health/health care setting.
