This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced counsellor to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager Ballarat and working closely with a team of highly skilled clinicians, your responsibilities will include the provision of high-quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapy, including education programs for individuals, couples, and families. You will be able to apply your skills and expertise in childhood development and family dynamics to respond to a diverse range of issues: including trauma, violence and abuse, parenting concerns, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce and blended families.

Based at our centre located in Ballarat, this is a permanent, part-time position for three (3) days per week. 

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline including family therapy, social work, counselling, psychology.
  • Previous supervised professional experience in relationship counselling and family violence.
  • Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals, couples and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and couples where family violence is present and accurately assess for family violence.
  • Understand and be able to practically apply relevant legislative regulations.

What we offer

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $88k to $94k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation, and access to salary packaging.
