About the role
Reporting to the Centre Manager Ballarat and working closely with a team of highly skilled clinicians, your responsibilities will include the provision of high quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapy, including education programs to individuals, couples, and families as required. You will be able to apply your skills and expertise in childhood development and family dynamics to respond to a diverse range of issues: including trauma, violence and abuse, parenting concerns, relational issues, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce and blended families.
This position is based at our centre in Ballarat and is permanent, part-time for three (3) days per week including one evening shift a week.
About you
- Degree qualified in family therapy, social work, counselling, or psychology.
- Previous supervised professional experience in relationship counselling and family violence.
- Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals, couples and families.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and couples where family violence is present and accurately assess for family violence.
- Understand and be able to practically apply relevant legislative regulations.
