Your Opportunity
Psychosocial Support Service provides nonclinical services to people who are experiencing mental illness. This role will help consumers to achieve their recovery goals by providing therapeutic sessions which are aimed at learning to self-regulate.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Work with referred individuals to determine eligibility requirements and intake and assessment processes.
- Facilitate ongoing counselling sessions with individuals that is collaborative, and client driven, in various settings including outreach environments such as homes
- Develop quality relationships with a range of key stakeholders including community organisations, rehabilitation providers and other health professionals for the effective provision of support and information to clients
- Participate in a range of interagency meetings, steering committees and collect and collate service-related information
- Actively participate in clinical supervision, peer, and team development activities
- Manage and create client case files and regularly participate in regular performance review and supervision
- Identify potential improvements in service and implement all quality program to ensure compliance with service standards
Requirements for Success
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Social Work
- Demonstrated experience and ability to provide specialized or complex therapeutic interventions and manage complex case loads
- Ability to network and develop effective working relationships at all levels for the community
- Willingness to work from a strength based, solution focused perspective
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to be able to work in a team environment and independently
- Experience in the provision of individual counselling and group workshops
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A current valid driver’s license
- Evidence of Covid 19 Vaccination
