Adventist Schools (South Queensland) Ltd is seeking a Counsellor to join our team at Noosa Christian College. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, passionate Counsellor who is happy to be part of current team. This position is a full-time fixed term position commencing on 8th January 2024.
The Counsellor at Noosa Christian College will be responsible for providing caring and professional counselling to students and staff on any numbers of issues, including anxiety, trauma, relationships and grief counselling. The successful applicant will have a deep and broad knowledge of current issues and best practice in counselling, demonstrating the capacity to work harmoniously with teams, whether in supervisory, collegial, or advisory contexts. While the position is open to all applicants, experience in Counselling is highly desirable.
Noosa Christian College is a K-12 school situated in the Cooroy hinterland within a rural setting of 11.4 ha. The College has an enrolment of approximately 400 and provides a family atmosphere where students have a close and supportive contact with their teachers and peers. Application Requirements:
The successful applicant will hold a relevant BA in counselling, psychology or social work, hold a blue card, and be eligible for registration with the APS, AASW or ACWA. This college is committed to child safety by providing a safe culture, safe operations and a safe environment. Only applicants with a current WWCC will be considered for this role. It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the college.
