MARS Recruitment is proud to be partnering with the Open Arms service, an organisation dedicated to providing high-quality clinical services to veterans, defence personnel, and their families. We are currently seeking passionate and qualified Clinical Counsellors to join Open Arms in making a positive impact on the lives of those who have served our nation.
Duties and Responsibilities: As a Clinical Counsellor, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality clinical services, including assessment, individual, couple, and family counselling, and case management to eligible Open Arms clients, following care planning processes.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of group programs.
- Maintaining clinical records, analysing client data, and preparing reports to enhance service delivery.
- Facilitating the delivery of counselling and other programs in rural and outer metropolitan areas, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Establishing partnerships with various organizations involved in meeting the needs of veteran and defence force communities.
- Participating in ongoing learning, community development, service promotion, program evaluation, and research activities.
- Adhering to cooperative and safe working practices consistent with APS Values and the Department’s mission.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Qualification as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR Qualification as a Social Worker eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and eligibility to apply for Mental Health accreditation.
- Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance.

Contract Details:
- This role is paying up to $65.00 per hour plus super depending upon experience
- Weekly pay
- Contract role until end of June 2024 with a strong chance of extension
- Sign on bonus
- Contract completion bonus
