This particular role will assist people with disability, injury or ill health requiring vocational rehabilitation through WISE Occupational Rehabilitation Services.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a sub-contractor with qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, General Counselling, Social Work or a registered Psychologist to empower their local community by assisting disadvantaged individuals. Your main responsibility with this role is to work with our customers to help them resolve their barriers and provide tools and strategies that will assist them in removing their barriers and providing them with a pathway to sustainable employment.
Your key accountabilities include the following:
- Providing relevant assessment and counselling services to our customers to assist in removing barriers
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the customers and internal stakeholders
- Manage caseload for billing and ensure notes are accurate
- Provide daily summary of customer counselling session outcomes and attendance to the Business Manager
We are flexible with regard to this role because we are keen to find the right person. We are happy to offer a subcontractor agreement. The role will be based across the Southern Perth region.
About you
We are seeking an experienced person who will have a strong interest in assisting clients to remove non vocational barriers to employment to return to the workforce and meet the following key requirements of the role:
- It is essential that you have a degree-level qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling, General Counselling, Social Work and associated professional registration or you are a fully qualified Psychologist with current and full AHPRA registration
- Ability to travel between sites
- Experience in one-to-one and group counselling
- Updating a database with clinical notes and billing
- Familiar with a fee-for-service basis
- Experience in working with the long-term unemployed is preferred
