St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane is a 164-bed private hospital specialising in medical care for those with chronic, complex and multiple health needs. From our established inner-city facilities at Kangaroo Point, overlooking the CBD and the Brisbane River, we offer outstanding inpatient and day services across a broad range of medical specialties including rehabilitation; acute medicine; palliative care; interim care and pain management.
About the role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Counsellor to join our Allied Health team on a Permanent Part-Time basis 22.8 hours per week. You will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health team, with demonstrated experience within a hospital setting.
Selection Criteria
Successful candidates will need:
- Experience in providing a service which enables patients and their families to deal with the impact changes in health can have on individual and family functioning
- To provide person-centered therapeutic care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice throughout the hospital as required
- Eligibility for registration with PACFA
- To ensure prompt assessment of newly referred patients
- To work closely with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of patients and their families
- Experience with Palliative Care and bereavement services (essential)
