Counsellor The Lighthouse Psychology Practice

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Position: 

The role involves the provision of mainly treatment services to a variety of clinical presentations, working with victims of crime via the Victim Services pathway, You In Mind and some NDIS referrals. 

Use a blend of clinical approaches to treat clients presenting with complex trauma, adjustment, depression and anxiety symptoms, PTSD and acute stress. Support clients to recover from psychological impacts of crime, disadvantage and disability.  

Part time or full time hours to be negotiated to enhance flexibility and your work/life balance. Your own needs as a clinician are important and valued at Lighthouse.

Laptop provided with remote access to practice management software for all you letter/ report writing and client communication needs.
Access all entitled Leave and Superannuation and receive free supervision and coaching support from the Clinical Director (Board Approved supervisor).

Attend regular group supervision & professional development with a large team of very skilled Psychologists, Counsellors and our consultant Psychiatrist (Access all your Active CPD requirements in house).

Use a Microsoft Office account with your own Lighthouse email address for a professional image and access to shared resources. 

Consult from beautifully presented, French provincial / Hamptons style clinic rooms.

Use the latest practice management software, with letter/report templates to streamline letter writing. 

Be supported by full time administrative/ reception support from a team of 7 staff all with strong experience in the medical and allied health fields. All your billing, bookings and admin needs covered. 

Attend fun group supervision, team functions and annual Christmas Party! 

About You: 

The right candidates for this role will be warm, authentic and competent, organised and motivated; have PACFA registration and an approved Victim Services counsellor or willing to obtain approval (Must have a minimum of 3 years clinical experience to qualify).

The Lighthouse Psychology Practice is a beautifully presented practice whose mission is to provide evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns, in both a timely and affordable manner. We are a leading practice, servicing the South West Sydney areas, with three locations in Campbelltown and Moorebank.   

The Lighthouse Practice has been established for over 10 years with a long-standing clinical team of Psychologists, Counsellors and Consultant Psychiatrist. We have strong working relationships with local GP’s and other referring organisations; and pride ourselves on individually tailored and authentic therapy/ intervention services. We currently accept approximately 40-50 new referrals each week, so there is always a large volume of new clients, providing interesting and ongoing work opportunities.
