About the role:

We are currently seeking to appoint Course Writers who can write comprehensive and engaging educational and assessment materials for our units in the following allied health and community services courses:

  • Allied Health Assistance
  • Health Administration
  • Health Services Assistance
  • Mental Health
  • Practice Management
  • Youth Work

Course Writing is ideal for experienced workers who want to utilise their skills and knowledge to continue to make an impact in the sector.  This is a offered as an independent contractor arrangement, with a possibility of future work as we continue developing these new courses. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role is mainly responsible for:

  • Developing learning and assessment materials including written study materials, assessment activities, marker (answer) guides and books of readings.
  • Ensuring learning materials meet all required learning outcomes.
  • Incorporating feedback into learning materials.
  • Proofing material for formatting, educational and grammatical correctness.

Skills and Experience:

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • A Diploma level (or higher) qualification in allied health, community services, health administration or other health-related fields.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience working in an allied health, community services or similar contexts.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or an understanding of the Australian vocational education system.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and advanced experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
