Creative Program Facilitator Starlight Childrens Foundation

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

At Starlight Children’s Foundation, we’re on a mission to light up the lives of seriously ill children and their families. We bring the magic of fun, joy, and laughter when it’s needed most because, for us, happiness truly matters.

Introducing Livewire

Livewire is our program for seriously ill teenagers. We know that social connections are essential to teens’ development and to help build their identity and sense of belonging.
Livewire aims to do just that., by keeping teens engaged, entertained, and connected.

Your Strengths

As a Livewire Facilitator, you’ll unleash your creative genius to craft exciting, tailored, and innovative activities and workshops. You will inspire these teens to connect with each other, find their own creative flare, or even become an Uno champion!
Hit that apply button if:

  • You have a qualification or experience within creative arts, music, or performing
  • You have experience connecting with teens in authentic, positive, and engaging ways through your experience within youth work, teaching, or something similar
  • You actively stay in tune with youth trends and could bring them into our program
  • Can build strong relationships with various stakeholders

*If you thought ‘youth trends’ sounded lame, you are correct!

The Nitty Gritty

We’re looking for someone to join us on a Part-Time basis (3-4 days per week) at The Children’s Hospital Westmead and can offer either fixed or flexible days.

The program runs 6 days a week( Mon-Sat) and shifts usually run from 10am-6pm OR 12pm-8pm, so if you love a good sleep-in and are a night owl – this might be perfect!

Feeling excited?

So are we, apply now!

Our goal is to be the most inclusive workplace in Australia. We welcome candidates from all cultural backgrounds, and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, members of the LGBTI+ community, people with a disability and those who are mature aged or just starting out in their careers.

We are committed to positive employment experiences in an environment where everyone is included, respected, safe, and treated fairly, so you can be your best and true self every day.

If we can make accommodations to our recruitment process to better enable you to shine, please include this in your application.
