About the Team
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team sits within the Office of People, Equity Safety Wellbeing Portfolio, with a focus on the early intervention, prevention and promotion of positive mental health and wellbeing aligned to the Wellbeing and Mental health Strategy.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team takes a systemic approach utilising university-wide engagement in the creation of student focused mental health and wellbeing initiatives. The team has various functions including mental health and wellbeing promotion, prevention, early identification of needs and responding to complex issues and risk.
About the Role
The Cultural Wellbeing Officer is responsible for supporting and developing culturally safe initiatives within the Mental Health and Wellbeing team to meet the needs of our culturally diverse community. The position takes a holistic and systemic approach, including policy development, advise and consultation, resource development and the provision of counselling and wellbeing services, including clinical supervision to students as required.
The Cultural Wellbeing Officer will champion the key values of the Office of People and ensures their practice aligns to these values and service delivery contributing to the overall student experience with the aim of transforming lives.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 8 $101,201 to $112,344 p.a. (comprising Salary of $85,516 to $94,932 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
