Al Sadiq College is seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate Director of Student Wellbeing (Years 7-12) to join our dedicated Secondary School Team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Secondary, the Director of Student Wellbeing (Secondary) is responsible for the general oversight of all aspects of the welfare of students in the Secondary Section of the College. This oversight will be consistent with the College’s strategic plan, vision, mission, and values.
The primary objective of this position is to be committed to providing for the welfare needs across Years 7-12 students, and to improving student learning and teacher competence. They will model the highest standards of professional practice and interaction with students.
Whilst the key responsibilities will be overseeing the welfare needs of students and associated communication standards and practices within the Secondary Section of the College, the Director of Student Wellbeing (Years 7-12) will consult with other key team members, Heads of House and teaching staff to ensure a consistent and holistic K-12 approach to student welfare across the College.

Selection Criteria
You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:
- Overseeing the welfare needs of students in Years 7 to 12, in liaison with Head of Secondary, Heads of Department, Heads of House, classroom teachers and parents.
- Working with other members of the Leadership Team to support and improve teaching and learning standards for staff and students across the College.
- Ensuring that there are mechanisms in place for structured monitoring, evaluation, and feedback regarding student wellbeing programs.
- Ensuring high standards of student behaviour within the Secondary Section (Years 7-12) of the College.
- Having a “hands on“ approach across all welfare programs and year levels.
- Engaging in ongoing personal and professional development and maintain awareness of current relevant requirements.
- Demonstrating well-developed interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills
