The Role
The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme is a state-wide program that enables people to lodge a request where they are concerned about the behaviour of someone within the context of an intimate relationship.
The DFV Specialist makes an initial assessment, facilitates the information with SAPOL and provides support and referrals to the clients. This role will cover the South Australian Government regions of Limestone Coast and Murray and Mallee but may be required to perform work in areas outside these regions.
The DFV Specialist will promote and implement quality service responses, which are underpinned and informed by Centacare values. Provide initial response and assessment to identify presenting and long term needs of clients and their children.

What you need to bring
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- A degree or diploma in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services, Human Services, Health Sciences and/or experience commensurate with the position.
- Ability and availability to travel within the Limestone Coast region
- Ability and availability to do some travel to Adelaide to attend meetings/training when required
Desirable
- Extensive experience in domestic violence and/or Aboriginal family violence and/or community development in related fields
