JOB DESCRIPTION

Type: Full Time, M-F.
Location: Sutherland Shire
Salary: $87k-$89k + Super + Salary Packaging
 
Welfare Recruitment Solutions have been approached by a well-regarded NFP organisation that provide a range of services to women and children in the St. George area. Assisting with recruitment of a DFV Specialist Worker on a full-time permanent basis at their office in the Sutherland Shire region.
 
The Role:

If successful in this role you will:

  • Respond to referrals of woman that have experienced Domestic Violence.
  • Conduct assessments and undertake safety planning.
  • Make referrals of a range of service providers.
  • Attend court to support clients and development and maintain partnerships with Police, courts, legal representatives, and other services as required.

 
Candidate:

  • Qualifications in a social welfare related field.
  • Experience working with women that have experienced domestic violence. 
  • Understanding the criminal justice in response to domestic and family violence including AVO applications and criminal prosecutions.
  • experience working with multicultural communities, another language will be desirable (but not essential)
