The Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) Program provides support to women who have experienced or continue to experience domestic violence and who have separated from the violent person.
This role will involve;
- Developing safety plans including safety audits to address personal safety concerns due to Domestic Violence.
- Provide group work activities aimed at supporting people to remain housed and live free from violence.
- Fulfilling reporting requirements in the Client Information management System.
- Provide timely, trauma informed, client centered support, advocacy, referrals, strategies and interventions to clients in crisis and/or experiencing domestic violence, homelessness and at risk of homelessness.
- Provide case management, addressing client’s needs in line with best practice guidelines and organisation policy and procedure.
- Develop comprehensive case plans reflective of client’s needs and goals.
- Contacting clients referred to SHLV in a timely manner and planning to address a client’s immediate needs.
The requirements for this role include;
- A tertiary qualification in Social Science, Criminology or Human Services (Minimum Diploma)
- 2 + years experience within community support roles
- Experience working with Domestic & Family Violence is a must
- COVID 19 Vaccinated
- Must have Full license and own Car
Additional Information
- A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
