THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Case Manager to join our Northern suburbs Accommodation Program on a full time basis, initially fixed term until 30 June 2023 with extension subject to funding.
Domestic Violence Case Managers perform the following duties:
- Conduct risk & safety assessments and establish client needs;
- Deliver crisis intervention and case management support to clients;
- Implement quality case plans in consultation with clients to support ongoing safety.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this position you will have significant experience of case management, case work or crisis intervention in a domestic violence or strongly related field. You will be adaptable, self-motivated, friendly and able to cope with ad-hoc work days and moving from team to team.
- A Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or similar, and/ or experience commensurate with the position.
- Significant case management and crisis intervention experience within a DV or related setting;
- Understanding of risk assessments and safety management planning;
- Strong interpersonal skills, high empathy, and able to support clients of diverse backgrounds;
- Strong initiative with ability to plan and manage complex caseloads;
- Experience in managing electronic client records, and strong attention to detail;
- A current drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance;
- Able to provide evidence of either being fully vaccinated in line with TGA guidelines or hold a valid medical exemption authorised by the Chief Public Officer
