Domestic Violence Educator Part-Time 12 Month Pilot Program Highland Recruitment

JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity to join a small professional team delivering assistance to those in our community who are threatened or impacted by domestic violence, control and abuse. 

This is a 12 month Pilot Education Program offering part-time employment (min 2 days per week).

The Aim

  • To design and develop educational programs, in consultation with external and internal subject matter experts, to deliver to frontline workers engaged with young children as well as those in the broader community. The programs will focus on impacts of DV and what members of the community can do to advocate and support those who may not have a voice.

The role

  • Design and develop educational programs, in consultation with external and internal subject matter experts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local education support services, community groups and service network
  • Identify and prepare Pilot Sites for the program
  • Develop program evaluation tools to identify program outcomes
  • Maintain accurate data collection to ensure service efficacy, QC and compliance
  • Provide operational updates and regular reporting to manager
  • Maintain professional collaborative relationships with local service providers

About you

  • You are an empathetic person who will align with the support hub’s values of kindness, dignity and respect
  • Demonstrated experience in development of programs and delivery to caregivers, frontline workers and the broader community
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of trauma and a clear understanding of current research and best practice for DV services
  • Experience in piloting and evaluating programs

Preferred but not essential experience

  • Knowledge of DV and child & family service systems in Wingecarribee Shire
  • Experience in child and family services including child protection
  • Experience in managing quality, compliance and evaluation processes

You will need

  • Tertiary qualification in education, social work, community services or equivalent experience
  • A current NSW unrestricted Class C Driver’s Licence
  • WWCC and National Criminal History Check
