EAP Counsellor CENTRECARE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a qualified and experienced counsellor looking to take that next step in your career? This could be the position for you!

Access Wellbeing Services (the for-profit arm of Centrecare) are now recruiting for two experienced Counsellors to provide psychological services including, counselling, coaching, critical incident management, conflict management, assessment, supervision, and training services to individual employees and to workplaces across WA. We have a full time position available in Midland and a part time position available in Victoria Square.

About the role:

  • Providing EAP counselling, coaching, supervision, and training.
  • Provide counselling aimed at the early identification and/or resolution of both work and personal problems that may adversely affect performance.
  • Provide counselling within a time-limited context.
  • Deliver AWS training programs to groups internal and external where required.
  • Arrange referrals to other services for clients requiring specialist and/or long-term support and interventions.
  • Provide onsite counselling support and critical incident response as required throughout WA.

About you:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications with eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the provision of supervised short-term counselling to a diverse client group.
  • Ability to work full time including 2 evening shifts per week (12pm until 8pm) and be on the on-call roster.
  • The ability to work flexibly across a range of programs and have a high level of time management and organisation skills.
  • Ability travel to different locations and work within a structured environment.
  • Possess a high level of administration, interpersonal and communication skills.
