JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

Okey Dokey Childhood Therapy is an established private practice located in Melbourne’s outer east. The vision for Okey Dokey is to provide expert psychology, speech pathology and occupational therapy to children and adolescents in a supportive and family friendly environment. We are proudly Neurodiversity Affirming and approach therapy in a trauma-informed and person-centred way.
 

New Graduate Program

Okey Dokey provides an established graduate support program for new staff. This program is tailored to each team member and includes:

  • Okey Dokey’s induction and training program. This allows ample time for new team members to settle into the role, connect with the team and observe sessions across all disciplines at the practice. This two-week observation period allows new team members to see how we work and understand the roles each discipline plays in supporting our clients. 
  • Gradual introduction to a client caseload. New staff will be supported to build their case load as they settle into the practice (generally starting with 3 sessions and building up to 5 sessions maximum in a 9am to 5pm day).
  • Individual supervision provided on a frequent basis, tailored to the graduate. 
  • Access to a variety of group supervision programs (including regular group supervision, early career supervision and regular multidisciplinary group supervision).
  • Education on Neurodiversity Affirming and trauma-informed practices.
  • Access to a wide range of resources, tools, programs and professional development (including internal and external PD opportunities).
  • Your own allocated therapy room – stocked with various resources to provide support to clients
  • Support provided through peers, Team Leader and Clinical Manager on a day to day basis.
  • A guaranteed pay increase for each year of service with Okey Dokey.

 

Additional Benefits

  • Full administrative support provided. The administration team will organise and manage all bookings, payments and general client queries.
  • All clinical staff are encouraged and financially supported to attend PD via an annual PD budget. In addition, staff are provided access to a range of internal and external PD opportunities throughout the year.
  • Structured case load, tailored to ensure a good work life balance (5 sessions a day max).
  • In room appointments only – no outreach required.

About You
You are passionate about supporting children and families to heal, grow and flourish, and:

  • are a new graduate psychologist who will be eligible for AHPRA registration as of January 2023.
  • are able to work independently while also enjoy being part of a team and connecting with colleagues to share knowledge and learn.
